Education Intern — Alliance to Save Energy — Washington D.C.

Team: Education
• Full-time (37.5 hours/week), $11/hour, from September 1 to December 3, 2010.

Intern’s primary duties:
– Write the monthly Update newsletter
– Provide support to the Saving Energy in DC Schools project by attending meetings and preparing materials
– Help plan for the Green Schools fall workshops in CA, NY, and TN
– Assist in gathering research for major proposals
– Research as it comes up
– Creating new documents and resources for Green Schools
– Refining the Education team newsletter and publishing it each month

Desired skills/qualifications:
– Good writing and editing skills
– Organized
– Team-player
– Independence in undertaking tasks
– Interest in education
– Mature
– Not currently enrolled in coursework
